The Nine Network of Public Media, which leads the national American Graduate initiative, will participate in a June 8 Twitter Chat around raising graduation rates in states and communities.

America’s Promise Alliance, an American Graduate partner, alongside AT&T Aspire, Better Make Room, Pearson and Communities in Schools will host the #PromiseChat June 8 at 3 p.m. EDT

The conversation looks to promote and provide a forum around the 2016 Building a Grad Nation report, which focuses on current graduate rates across the country, progress in struggling states, as well as the challenges faced in obtaining a 90% graduation rate.

The state of Missouri’s graduation rate stands at 87.3 percent, but there will be more work to do in order to reach the last few percentage points.

Themes for possible discussion include, how to increase the national graduation rate, which currently stands at 82.3 percent, challenges students face to graduate, as well as what strategies are working to ensure that no student is left behind.
