Partner Spotlight: Innovative Concept Academy
Last Updated by
Innovative Concept Academy is giving students who might be perceived as troubled or delinquent a chance to stay on track in school to earn a high school diploma.
The school opened in 2009 under St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Jimmie Edwards and in partnership with MERS Goodwill and St. Louis Public Schools. It serves students between the ages of 14 and 24 as an alternative with the resources these students need, which could include one-on-one teaching as well as getting them up to grade standard.
The program really takes the approach of using caring, consistent adults to reach and engage these students in a way not previously done.
