Works in Progress
Follow five St. Louis area students on their journey to graduate and succeed, while facing daily challenges and barriers on that path. “Works in Progress” presents a slice of life on each student and the issues that test them, including poverty, violence and drug abuse.
The 30-minute documentary premieres February 8 at 7 p.m. on Nine Network of Public Media.

Meet the Kids
Breon, 14, attends one of the best district's in the state as a freshman and wants to leave his past behind to focus on the future.
Savannah, 16, is a junior at Cleveland NJROTC Academy and is focused on not being a "statistic." First, she has to survive her neighborhood.
Michael, 18, channels his anger and emotions through a step-dance team. The Riverview Gardens senior is intent on going into the Navy after graduation.
Claudia, 18, is excited to be graduating from Notre Dame High School this May; however, she's overwhelmed with family and financial responsibilities as the eldest.
Leon, 18, has graduated from high school and continues to struggle in balancing a 15-hour day between attending St. Louis Community College and working.
Meet the Producer
Frank Popper has been involved in a number of Nine Network productions, such as Homeland. The owner of Frank Popper Productions, which co-produced the documentary alongside Nine Network, talks about the vision he had for the film and why it's important at this time.
